About Hindu Temple Karlsruhe e.V.
We are a registered non‑profit association (e.V.) in Karlsruhe on a shared mission to establish a physical Hindu temple as a home for worship, culture, and community. The temple does not exist yet; this is a promise in progress and we invite you to help build it.
Where We Are Now
- Discussions and formal applications with the City of Karlsruhe and the Mayor’s office are underway to secure land or premises.
- Initial planning for architecture, permits, and funding is in motion.
- Funding begins with donations, puja sponsorships, memberships, and volunteer support.
Our Mission & Goals
- Enable religious worship, rituals, and spiritual services for the Hindu community.
- Preserve and promote Hindu culture, language, music, dance, and education.
- Create a space for community, integration, and interfaith understanding.
- Offer public cultural events, educational programs, and youth activities.
- Act with transparency, accountability, and service to all.
Organizational Structure
Legal Status & Purpose
We are organized as a registered association (Verein, e.V.) under German law with nonprofit purposes as defined in our statutes (Satzung).
Governing Bodies
• General Assembly (Mitgliederversammlung): elects the board, adopts key resolutions.
• Board (Vorstand): executes decisions, represents the association, manages finances and projects.
• Auditors / Oversight (Kassenprüfer): review finances and reporting (per statutes).
Membership & Contributions
Membership is open per our statutes. The statutes define admission, withdrawal, contributions, and voting rights.
Transparency & Liability
We publish periodic progress and financial snapshots; the association is liable with its own assets, not with members’ private assets (as per law/statutes).
